Activities of Procura
With all of the different types of genres in the world, just about all of them can be danced or moved to in a certain way. However, for the most part all music requires different types of etiquette and sometimes even rituals. Merengue music is a traditional type of genre with a new twist on it. The song Procura shows just that and the activities that go with it are more than amazing. This is because this certain song requires a little bit of skill to be involved with.
Procura is actually a song that can be found in Latin music underneath the genres of Merengue and Salsa. Merengue does not have a distinct dance to go with it but Salsa does. If Procura were to be danced to “properly” then a person would have to put a Salsa routine with it. Salsa dance requires a person to be physically inclined to be able to do something such as this. Due to the wide variety of people who listen to this song, it is not mandatory to know how to do the Salsa.
When a person hears this music the moves just flow out of their body. Meaning that, everyone does not do the Salsa whenever this song is heard. However, this song usually does require a proper etiquette to go along with the dance. This song can usually be heard in a place where people dance, such as a club of some sort. When these people know they will be dancing to Procura they will dance in a traditional style. For a female this would include a long dress and button up shirts for the males.
The activities that go with this song do require a little extra compared to a song in the United States. Procura usually requires someone to know how to dance. If they wanted to dance properly to it they would do the Salsa. When a person prepares what they are going to wear for the hearing of Procura they will dress up in traditional wear. The activities of Procura explain the etiquette and the dances that go along with Merengue music.
