The song I chose to describe in full is called Procura by Chichi Peralta.  The song starts off with the beating of drums and shakers quickly added in with horns.  The drums and shakers give hold the tempo of the song together.  This is a duple meter song with the contour of the music set to be able to dance to.  The range of the notes being played do not range to any type of extremity.  There are another two layers to go along with the shakers, horns, and drums.  This is the playing of a guitar and the singers.  The song is very hard to hear exactly how many layers there is so it is hard to put a number on it.  There are multiple layers that do syncopate between each other.  Individually the instruments play a very easy rhythm to follow along with.  Occassionaly there is the addition of other instruments to give the song a different texture.  These instruments do not play for a long time and only support a few seconds of the song.  There is call and response between singers due to the lead singer and the men in the background repeating what he says.  The timbre of the song is very up beat and creates a song that many people can dance to.  The articulation of the song is very good and it sounds like it was professionally produced and recorded.
