Social Organization of Mi Nina

In music social organization asks the questions of who makes the music, what kinds of training do they have, and so forth.  For Bachata music it is said that much training really is not needed.  Many people who become professionals have been raised on this type of music making it easier for them to pick up at a later time.  Mi Nina shows that the music being played does not need much talent.  It also shows who listens to the music and who makes the music.  Mi Nina shows the social organization clearly for Bachata music.

Bachata music always has simple melodies and rhythm to be played.  This can be heard through Mi Nina due to the slow playing of all of the instruments.  Mi Nina is not difficult to play because the range of notes being played does not jump around at all.  After listening to this song it sounds as though there are three main notes being played throughout the song.  Along with the easy playing of the instruments comes the easy singing.  Usually singing is not easy but this song can easily be sung to.  This is only because the vocalist does not put a huge range on his notes.

The people who are singing the recorded song of Mi Nina are obviously professionals.  However, many people can pick this song up and start playing it with ease.  Once again the guitar is only playing a series of three notes throughout the song.  If I were to teach a guitar lesson I would choose this song to be one of the first songs. With this song professionals can easily put their own spin to it making it sound better.  However, to keep the traditional style of Bachata music they are not able to do so.

Social organization is shown clearly through the song Mi Nina for the Bachata genre.  First the simple melodies show that nearly anyone can play this song.  Also the low range of notes being hit by the singer gives off that someone with no talent can sing this song.  Bachata is made to be simple and understanding with its social organization making Mi Nina a great song.
