The next song I chose to describe in full detail is called Mi Niña by Cheche Abreu. The song starts out with some type stringed instrument that sounds very distorted. This does keep the rhythm underneath all of the other instruments for the remainder of the song. The next instrument that is added is some type of stringed bass. The language of this music is Spanish to represent the traditional Dominican Republic. The range of the notes that are being hit by all layers do not range too much compared to all other notes. There seems to be many small instruments playing at different times to create there own rhythm to syncopate the rest of the music. There is what seems to be a repetitive playing of the same notes throughout the song. It seems like the instruments play the chorus rather than the singer singing the chorus. The timbre of the song does create a song that people can dance to. There is no call and response or any type of swing in the music. The articulation sounds to be as good as a professionaly recorded track. The total song is held together with an odd meter of three.
